Cherry Blossom Time in Our Nation’s Capital

Blossoms take center stage on this journey through Washington, DC's most iconic season. After an included airport transfer and a welcome dinner to kick things off, step into history at Ford's Theatre, where Lincoln was assassinated, and the nearby Petersen House where he died, before browsing the treasures of the Smithsonian's American History Museum, home to the original Star-Spangled Banner.

The main event arrives as you claim reserved seats for the National Cherry Blossom Parade, watching floats, balloons, and marching bands wind down Constitution Avenue beneath the city's famous pink and white canopy. From there, travel back to colonial roots at Mount Vernon, strolling the gardens and grounds of George and Martha Washington's storied estate with sweeping Potomac River views. The next day brings a moving tribute to the nation's history and sacrifice: Arlington National Cemetery, the Changing of the Guard, and the JFK Memorial, followed by the FDR, Vietnam, Lincoln, and WWII Memorials. Cap off the evening with an Illumination tour of the monuments glowing against the night sky.

Head further back in time to Jamestown Settlement, where a re-created fort and the Powhatan Indian Village bring America's first English colony to life, and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown traces the fight for independence. Wander the centuries-old streets of Colonial Williamsburg and chat with costumed interpreters keeping 18th-century life alive, before settling in for a traditional tavern dinner. A final transfer to Washington Reagan National Airport sends you home having seen the capital at its most spectacular, in full spring bloom.
