While crowds of spectators line the sidewalks, you'll have the best seat in the house with reserved grandstand seating. This tour requires walking from the bus into Chinatown or Olvera Street to visit restaurants for lunch. Alternatively, you may bring your own lunch and stay in the immediate area, however you will have to walk approximately three blocks to reach our grandstand seating. You will be required to navigate heavy crowds and potentially a few stairs in the grandstands.

Know Before You Go

Lunch is on your own. The Academy Museum houses a large cafe, or you can take our optional shuttle to the LA Farmers Market for a late lunch (leaving the museum at 1:30 p.m.), or you may bring a sack lunch. For more information on dining options at the Farmers Market, click the Useful Links tab.

Academy Museum Rules

• Backpacks may not be worn on the back; they must be carried by hand or worn on the front of the body at all times. They can also be checked in at the coat check in the lower lobby.

• All larger items, such as large backpacks, must be checked in at the coat check.

• Outside food or drink is not permitted in the museum galleries, with the exception of water bottles with a lid or cap that can be closed.

• The Oscars Experience is available for purchase onsite at the museum. Pre-purchase of this item is not available. More information can be found using the Useful Links tab.

14-Day Cancellation Deadline

• If you purchased the optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) prior to the deadline, you can cancel your booking at any time for any reason and you'll receive a full refund of the tour fare.

• If you declined the CPP, you may cancel your reservation fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date to receive a refund less a $15 per person cancellation fee. Alternatively, when you cancel your booking fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date, you can avoid the cancellation fee by transferring the funds to another tour or a non-refundable voucher, which can be applied to any future excursion booked within one year of the original tour date. Bookings canceled within 14 days of the departure date are nonrefundable and nontransferable for any reason. Name changes on daytrips are always permitted at no additional cost.
