Day 1
Your journey begins as we traverse north through the Inland Empire, pausing for a delightful lunch in Victorville. Our adventure continues with scenic photo stops at the world's largest thermometer and the mesmerizing views from Zabriskie Point overlooking Death Valley. Later, unwind with a two-night stay at The Ranch at Death Valley, a historic complex originally built in the 1880s, once home to the famed Twenty Mule Teams. Tonight, forge connections with fellow travelers at a welcome dinner hosted at one of the resort's culinary delights, The 1849 Restaurant.
L, DDay 2
Embark on an exhilarating day of exploration after enjoying a delectable breakfast at the resort on your own. Our adventure kicks off at the park’s Visitor Center, a truly compelling destination situated 190 feet below sea level. Immerse yourself in exhibits and engaging photos showcasing the rich tapestry of Death Valley's history, culture, and geological marvels. Our journey continues with stops at the captivating Devil’s Cornfield, the otherworldly Ubehebe Crater, and the artistically sculpted Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. Return to the ranch for a sumptuous included lunch, followed by a brief jaunt to the Harmony Borax Works museum, delving into the area's intriguing past. The rest of the day is yours to unwind and savor the amenities of the resort. Brace yourself for a day filled with extraordinary landscapes and enthralling history in the heart of Death Valley.
LDay 3
Today's sightseeing continues through the southern reaches of Death Valley National Park, where every turn unveils breathtaking wonders. Marvel at the surreal landscapes of Devil’s Golf Course and stand in awe at the vastness of Badwater Basin. In the afternoon, we'll venture to Calico Ghost Town near Barstow, a hauntingly beautiful relic of California's largest silver mining era from 1881 to 1896. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and immerse yourself in the rich history of this fascinating ghost town. As we continue our adventure to San Diego, you'll forge new connections and carry cherished memories of your unforgettable Death Valley Discovery.

The activity level of this tour is considered High because the tour involves walking on uneven, unpaved, and inclined surfaces at at several locations. Throughout the sightseeing portion of this tour there are many instances of embarking and disembarking the coach stairs and walking from the coach to the viewpoints, though walking is mostly at your own pace. Due to the historic nature of some of the facilities owned or operated by Xanterra at Grand Canyon, certain facilities and activities may be unsuitable for some individuals with disabilities.

You may cancel your booking forty-five (45) or more days prior to the tours departure date to receive a refund, less a $100 per person cancellation fee. Alternatively, when you cancel your booking forty-five (45) or more days prior to the departure date, we can waive the cancellation fee and transfer the full amount to another tour or a non-refundable voucher, which can be applied to any future excursion booked within one year of the original tour date.
Passenger name changes, deviations, or other changes made by the passenger after the final payment deadline has passed will be assessed a $50 per person change fee plus any fees incurred by the service providers. No refunds, transfers or credits can be issued for any reason on bookings canceled after the cancellation deadline.
