Built in 1935, Griffith Observatory is the most visited public observatory in the world. During WWII this Planetarium was used to train pilots in celestial navigation, and in the 1960s Apollo astronauts trained here for the first lunar missions. Explore fascinating astronomy exhibits, enjoy unique telescopic views of the night sky, and take in breathtaking views of the City of Angels in all its glittering nighttime glory. You'll also have an opportunity to see the special evening Planetarium shows. 1) If you are interested in seeing the Planetarium show at the observatory, please be aware that space is limited and subject to availability on the day you arrive. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for Seniors (60 yrs or older) and are only sold on a first-come first-served basis at the observatory box office. Please be aware that the waiting line to enter the planetarium show is outdoors.
2) We recommend bringing your own sack dinner or purchasing something at our comfort stop in El Toro. There are limited selections at the cafe at the observatory.

If you purchased the optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) prior to the deadline, you can cancel your booking at any time for any reason and you'll receive a full refund of the tour fare.
If you declined the CPP, you may cancel your reservation fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date to receive a refund less a $15 per person cancellation fee. Alternatively, when you cancel your booking fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date, you can avoid the cancellation fee by transferring the funds to another tour or a non-refundable voucher, which can be applied to any future excursion booked within one year of the original tour date. Bookings canceled within 14 days of the departure date are nonrefundable and nontransferable for any reason. Name changes on daytrips are always permitted at no additional cost.
