Upon arrival at the Mountain Station, perched at an elevation of 8,500 feet, you’ll step into a refreshing alpine environment. Here, you may enjoy panoramic views from the observation decks, visit the small museum, take a peaceful walk through a forested path, or simply unwind with a beverage in the lounge while taking in the sweeping vistas that stretch out to the Salton Sea.

This tour visits a high elevation of 8,500 feet at the Mountain Tram Station and remains there for 2 hours. During the visit at the top, activity is at your own pace. For more active individuals, viewing decks and trails are available outside the mountain station, and trails involve steep inclines, uneven terrain and stairs. Moderate time standing in line for the tram may be necessary, and the tram ride itself involves standing for period of at least 15 minutes. Persons with breathing difficulties should consult their physisian regarding the altitude visited on this tour.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is an unforgettable journey aboard the world’s largest rotating tram car, ascending more than 2.5 miles along the dramatic cliffs of Chino Canyon. The approximately ten-minute ride features slowly rotating tram cars that provide 360-degree panoramic views of the Coachella Valley, the rugged canyon walls, and the transition from desert landscape to alpine forest.

Upon reaching the Mountain Station at an elevation of 8,516 feet, visitors step into the refreshing wilderness of Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The station offers a wide variety of attractions and amenities, including:

• Two restaurants: Peaks Restaurant for fine dining with incredible views, and the more casual Pines Café.

• Multiple observation decks with sweeping views of the valley and surrounding mountains.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world’s largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. During your approximately ten-minute journey, tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—enjoy two restaurants, observation decks, natural history museum, two documentary theaters, gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails

14-Day Cancellation Deadline

• If you purchased the optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) prior to the deadline, you can cancel your booking at any time for any reason and you'll receive a full refund of the tour fare.

• If you declined the CPP, you may cancel your reservation fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date to receive a refund less a $15 per person cancellation fee. Alternatively, when you cancel your booking fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date, you can avoid the cancellation fee by transferring the funds to another tour or a non-refundable voucher, which can be applied to any future excursion booked within one year of the original tour date. Bookings canceled within 14 days of the departure date are nonrefundable and nontransferable for any reason. Name changes on daytrips are always permitted at no additional cost.
