Book Now

Trace the inspiring journey of Richard Nixon, from his modest beginnings in Whittier to his profound legacy as the 37th President of the United States. This extraordinary tour begins with renowned Nixon biographer and author Paul Carter (Richard Nixon: California’s Native Son), who will guide us on a deeply engaging driving and walking tour of Nixon’s hometown. Gain rare insights into the people, places, and experiences that shaped Nixon’s character and laid the foundation for his rise to the presidency.

After lunch on your own in Whittier’s charming downtown, we’ll visit the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda. This world-class facility offers an in-depth look at Nixon’s life and presidency, from his groundbreaking foreign policy achievements—such as opening diplomatic relations with China and securing arms control agreements with the Soviet Union—to the challenges of the Watergate scandal. Walk through meticulously curated exhibits, including a full-scale replica of the East Room of the White House, Nixon’s restored childhood home, and the Marine One helicopter used during his presidency.

The highlight of our visit is The Ancient World: Unlocking the Middle East, a breathtaking exhibit that invites you to lead your own expedition through tombs, pyramids, and palaces. Encounter more than 60 rare artifacts, displayed together for the first time, in this immersive journey spanning 5,000 years of history. Marvel at the ancient treasures while gaining insights into the region’s complex 19th- and 20th-century history and conflicts. This exhibit serves as a bridge between ancient civilizations and the modern world, offering new perspectives on the forces that shaped the Middle East and its enduring global influence.

This comprehensive tour provides a unique opportunity to explore Nixon’s profound impact on history while delving into the mysteries and majesty of the ancient world. Combining local lore, national significance, and global exploration, this day promises to be as enlightening as it is inspiring.
