Lions, Tigers, & Bears, Oh My!

Experience an inspiring visit to Lions Tigers & Bears, a wildlife sanctuary in Alpine, followed by leisure time at Viejas and a peaceful stop at Summers Past Farms.

Our day begins with a guided tour of Lions Tigers & Bears, a federally-licensed rescue and educational sanctuary dedicated to providing a safe lifelong home for abused and abandoned exotic animals. Located on a beautiful ranch in Alpine, this remarkable "No Kill, No Breed, No Sell" facility is home to a variety of rescued big cats and other wildlife.

With more big cats in captivity than in the wild, many of these animals fall victim to the exotic pet trade, leaving them often neglected, abandoned, or abused. Lions Tigers & Bears works tirelessly to rescue these animals and offer them a compassionate and secure environment where they can live out their lives with dignity. During our visit, you'll enjoy an in-depth guided tour of the sanctuary, including their impressive 3-acre lion habitat, which features custom landscaping and a tranquil infinity pond designed to mimic the animals’ natural environment and enrich their daily lives. Afterward, we’ll head to the nearby Viejas Outlet Center & Casino, where you'll have time to explore on your own. Whether you're in the mood for shopping, lunch, or a little luck at the casino, this stop offers something for everyone.

Before heading home, we’ll make a delightful final stop at Summers Past Farms, a local favorite nestled at the foothills of the mountains. Stroll through their charming herbal and seasonal gardens; browse the country store filled with handmade gifts, soaps, and décor; or simply enjoy the peaceful, scenic surroundings. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a day of discovery, compassion, and relaxation.

This tour involves walking on uneven surfaces and standing for a 90-minute walking tour of the facility. Walking, though at your own pace, is also required at the Viejas Outlet Center to reach shops and restaurants. This tour may be challenging for persons with mobility limitations.

14-Day Cancellation Deadline

• If you purchased the optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) prior to the deadline, you can cancel your booking at any time for any reason and you'll receive a full refund of the tour fare.

• If you declined the CPP, you may cancel your reservation fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date to receive a refund less a $15 per person cancellation fee. Alternatively, when you cancel your booking fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date, you can avoid the cancellation fee by transferring the funds to another tour or a non-refundable voucher, which can be applied to any future excursion booked within one year of the original tour date. Bookings canceled within 14 days of the departure date are nonrefundable and nontransferable for any reason. Name changes on daytrips are always permitted at no additional cost.
