Spend an enriching day taking in the charm of Old Towne Orange and its historic Plaza Park. Repeatedly voted Orange Countys favorite downtown, the streets are lined with antique and collectibles dealers, specialty shops, art galleries, and restaurants. This area's distinct look makes it a popular filming location, so you may recognize some sights from productions like That Thing You Did, Crimson Tide, and The West Wing! You'll have plenty of free time to wander and explore all this iconic neighborhood has to offer.
Stroll local stores and fill your shopping bags with one-of-a-kind antiques, stop by Orange County's oldest operating bank, pay respects at the Veterans Memorial at Depot Park, or snag a handcrafted beverage and relax in the shade near the bubbling fountain in Plaza Square. Old Towne Orange offers a unique look at SoCal history, as many of the original structures from the city's incorporation are still standing.
Stop by the renowned Hilbert Museum, featuring one of the worlds largest collections of California narrative art. Founded by Mark and Janet Hilbert, the museum showcases captivating works that celebrate our state's vibrant history, from urban scenes to coastal landscapes. The Hilbert's 36 galleries encompass rotating displays of over 5,000 pieces, including one of the largest private collections of Disney art along with works by Norman Rockwell and other 20th-century illustrators.
With leisure, local culture, and history beautifully combined, this tour is a perfect escape!
