Know Before You Go

  • U.S. citizens must carry a valid Passport or Passport Card to enter Mexico and to return to the U.S. Non-U.S. citizens must carry a passport with an I-94 attached. Trusted Traveler programs such as Sentri, Global Entry, and others are NOT accepted as alternatives to a passport.

This tour is restricted to persons 21 years of age or older.

This tour involves considerable walking on uneven surfaces, inclines, and steps.

After crossing the border back into the U.S. there is a three-block walk on a moderate incline to the location where you'll reboard the coach.

When crossing back into the U.S. you must remove ALL PERSONAL ITEMS from the coach and carry them through the checkpoing, including hats, sweaters, purchases, etc. Items left on the coach may be confiscated by border officials and forfeited.

U.S. Dollars are widely accepted and even preferred in this region of Mexico. It is not necessary to exchange your currency to Mexican Pesos. When making a purchase, you should always ask if the vendor can return your change in U.S. Dollars in order to avoid confusion and prevent having to pay exchange fees to convert back to U.S. currency later.

ATMs are available in some areas but will dispense money in Mexican Pesos and there may be usage fees in addition to your own bank's fees. Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted and will provide the best exchange rate. American Express is rarely accepted.
