Celebrate spring amid the beauty and charm of Sierra Madre at the annual Wistaria Vine Festival, which honors one of nature’s most extraordinary creations. Our visit includes exclusive entry to the private Vine House, home to the world-renowned Wistaria Vine recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest blooming plant on Earth. This century-old wonder weighs more than 250 tons and extends nearly 500 feet across two properties, creating a breathtaking display of cascading purple blossoms when in bloom.

Following the vine tour, enjoy the lively festival atmosphere throughout downtown Sierra Madre. Stroll through the bustling arts and crafts fair featuring unique handmade goods by local artisans, listen to live music, and sample delicious food from a variety of vendors all celebrating the community’s rich spirit and the timeless allure of the Wistaria Vine.

The Wistaria Vine Festival is a street fair covering a 1/3-mile stretch of Sierra Madre Blvd with vendors, eateries, and a classic car show. The historic Wistaria Vine is located at a hillside private residence that is not ADA accessible. Wheelchairs cannot be accommodated and walking up and down stairs is required to view the vine. Steps have no handrail and there is no one to assist those who are unable to climb the stairs on their own.

However, the exact timing of the bloom can vary depending on factors such as local climate and weather conditions. There is no guarantee the vine will be in bloom during this event.

14-Day Cancellation Deadline

• If you purchased the optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) prior to the deadline, you can cancel your booking for any reason up until 1 hour prior to tour departure and you'll receive a full refund of the tour fare, less the cost of the CPP.

• If you declined the CPP, you may cancel your reservation fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date to receive a refund less a $15 per person cancellation fee. Alternatively, when you cancel your booking fourteen (14) or more days prior to the departure date, you can avoid the cancellation fee by transferring the funds to another tour or a non-refundable voucher, which can be applied to any future excursion booked within one year of the original tour date. Bookings canceled within 14 days of the departure date are nonrefundable and nontransferable for any reason. Name changes on daytrips are permitted at no additional cost if they do not require pre-clearance, such as with tours visiting government facilities.
